Sophie Bull and
Jenna Allman earned College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-America honors for track and field and cross country on Tuesday.

Bull (Denver, Colo./Denver Christian) was named First Team Academic All-America, while Allman (Ann Arbor, Mich./Saline) was named Third Team Academic All-America.
Â
The two earned the honors after helping Calvin to a sweep of three MIAA Championships in women's cross country, indoor track and field, and outdoor track and field during the 2024-25 academic year.

To be eligible for CSC Academic All-America honors, individuals needed to have maintained a cumulative team grade point average (GPA) of 3.50 or above, been a sophomore or above in academic standing and recorded a top-50 individual finish in either cross country or track and field in their respective region. In addition, individuals must have been placed on the CSC Academic All-District Team and then advanced to the national ballot. The CSC Academic All-America program is voted upon strictly by members of the College Sports Communicators Association.

Bull and Allman give Calvin 164 total CSC Academic All-Americans in school history, which ranks ninth among all NCAA III schools.

Sophie Bull

Bull earned her second straight CSC Academic All-American honor after being voted Second Team Academic All-America by the CSC during the 2023-24 academic year.

This season, Bull started the year with a second-place finish in the MIAA Cross Country Championships and finished 28th in the NCAA III Cross Country Championships, earning her All-America honors and helping the Knights finish 15th in the nation.

In the indoor season, Bull finished 10th in the 5000 meters at the NCAA III Indoor Championships and earned Second Team All-America honors after helping the Knights win the MIAA Indoor Championships.

To cap off her brilliant season, Bull won the national championship in the 3000 meter steeplechase in a time of 10:11.73, earning her All-America honors for the third time this season. She also earned All-America honors in the 3000 meter steeplechase as a sophomore in 2024. That time set the Calvin school record and is the fourth-fastest time in NCAA III history. She also helped lead the Knights to an MIAA Outdoor Track & Field Championship.

A junior kinesiology major with a 3.97 GPA, Bull is also a six-time Calvin Dean's List and three-time MIAA Academic Honor Roll honoree.

Jenna Allman

Allman earned CSC Academic All-America honors for the third straight year. She has been awarded Third Team Academic All-America honors each of the three seasons.

In cross country, Allman earned All-MIAA First Team and All-Region honors as she helped the Knights win the MIAA Cross Country Championships, finish second in the NCAA III Great Lakes Region, and then take 15th place at the NCAA III Championships.

During the indoor season, Allman ranked 10th in the region in the mile and 14th in the 3000 meters to help the Knights win the MIAA Indoor Championships.

To cap off her five-year running career, Allman earned Second Team All-America honors in outdoor track and field for the second straight season in the 3000 steeplechase with a 16th-place finish in the fourth straight year she qualified for the NCAA III Championships in that event. She also helped the Knights win the MIAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships and earned All-MIAA honors for the third straight outdoor season.

A senior sociology/psychology major with a 3.91 GPA, Allman is a 10-time member of the Calvin Dean's List and five-time MIAA Academic Honor Roll honoree.
