SOUTH BEND, Ind. - Today the Calvin women's tennis team traveled to take on the Belles of Saint Mary's in their regular season finale.

It was a rocky start for the Knights as the Belles quickly took the 1-0 lead when they won all three of the doubles matches.

Looking to bounce back, Calvin turned their attention to the singles matches where senior
Catherine Grissom (Indianapolis, Ind./North Central) came out on top with scores of 6-3 and 6-2 in the No. 3 match.

In the No. 4 match sophomore
Marina Ribeiro (Santos Sal Paolo, Brazil/Santa Cecilia) battled through a three-set match where she came out on top with scores of 7-5, 4-6, and 6-4. Freshman
Ryan Morey (Grand Rapids, Mich./Forest Hills Northern) picked up another point for the Knights when she swept the No. 6 match with scores of 6-3 and 6-4.

However, Saint Mary's would claim the rest of the singles matches and Calvin fell 4-3. After today the Knights moved to a 13-5 overall record and a 5-3 MIAA record.

UP NEXT: The Knights will be back in action on Monday, April 28th when they compete in the semifinals of the MIAA Tournament. Their opponent and start time have yet to be announced.
