Four members of the Calvin men's swimming and diving team have received College Sports Communicators Division III Academic All-District honors. Named to the CSC Academic All-District team from Calvin are seniors
Zachary Logan and
Wil Goodpaster and juniors
Ryan Halberg and
Charles Platt.
In order to receive CSC Academic All-District honors, athletes must be at least sophomore status or above academically, have maintained a cumulative undergraduate grade point average of 3.50 or above and finished in the top eight of an individual event at their respective conference championship meet. In addition, Platt has advanced to the national ballot by selection of the Academic All-America committee and is now eligible for CSC Academic All-America consideration.Â
ZACHARY LOGAN (Byron Center, Mich./Byron Center HS)
Logan is receiving CSC Academic All-District honors for the first time. Logan is an accounting major. He has been a two-time member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll and a five-time member of the Calvin Dean's List. He competes in the freestyle and backstroke events. At the 2025 MIAA Championships, he placed fifth in the 100 backstroke and eighth in the 100 freestyle.
WIL GOODPASTER (Hamilton, Mich./Hamilton HS)
Goodpaster is receiving CSC Academic All-District honors for the second straight year. He is a business finance major. He has been a three-time member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll and a seven-time member of the Calvin Dean's List. Goodpaster has been a two-time MIAA Most Valuable Diver. He captured MIAA titles on both the one and three-meter boards. He later qualified for the NCAA III Diving Regionals. He was named to the All-MIAA Team for the second straight season in February and was an eight-time MIAA Diver of the Week selection during the 2024-25 campaign.
RYAN HALBERG (Novi, Mich./Northville HS)
Halberg is receiving CSC Academic All-District honors for the first time. He is a business marketing and business management major at Calvin. He was a member of the 2023-24 MIAA Academic Honor Roll and has been a three-time member of the Calvin Dean's List. At the MIAA Championships in February, he placed sixth in the 400 IM, fifth in the 1650 freestyle and fourth in the 500 freestyle.
CHARLES PLATT (Downers Grove, Il./Downers Grove North HS)
Platt is receiving CSC Academic All-District honors for the first time. An accounting major, he has been a regular member of the Calvin Dean's List and the MIAA Academic Honor Roll. At the MIAA Championships last month, Platt was the MIAA champion in the 100 backstroke, 200 backstroke and 200 freestyle. He was named to the All-MIAA Team for a third straight season. Platt is an 11-time Division III All-American. At the NCAA III Championships last month, he claimed 2
nd Team All-America honors in the 100 backstroke (9
th place) and 100 freestyle (14
th place). He was also a part of First Team All-America relay teams at the 2025 NCAA III Championships as a member of Calvin's third place 200 freestyle and 400 freestyle relay teams.
