GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Calvin University men's tennis team welcomed the Scots from Alma to Strikwerda Tennis Center where they walked away with a commanding 7-0 victory.

Calvin (7-7, 1-1 MIAA) started things strong when the number one doubles team of
Rodrigo Alipio (Santos, São Paulo, Brazil/COC Universitario) and Mario Neto (Boa Vista, Brazil/Reino) won the tiebreaker to win their match 7-6.
Ryan Broek (Hudsonville, Mich./Unity Christian) and
Felipe Sartori (Estr. Basileia/Colegio Giusto Zonzini) kept things rolling with a 6-1 victory before
Tanner Warners (Grand Rapids, Mich./Grand Rapids Christian) and
Caleb Bartels (Belton, Mo./Kansas City Christian) finished double play with a 6-0 win.

The Knights continued their strong performance into the singles matches where Alipio won the No. 1 singles 6-0, 6-0 while Burtels secured a point in the No. 2 match with a score of 6-1, 6-1. Sartori (7-5, 6-0), Broek (6-0, 6-0) and Neto (6-0, 6-0) all won their matches before
Emmanuel Henao (Medellin, Columbia/Escuela Normal Superior "La Merced") rounded out the day when he won 6-3, 6-2 in the No. 6 match.
