EMORY THRILLS IN THE HILLS RESULTS
NORTH CENTRAL COLLEGE FIRST CHANCE INVITATIONAL RESULTS
Calvin concluded its opening weekend of outdoor track and field competition at meets hosted by Emory University and North Central College on Saturday.
At the Emory University Thrills in the Hills Invitational in Atlanta, Georgia, senior
Wil Goodpaster (Hamilton, Mich./Hamilton HS) was sixth in the pole vault (12-1 ¾). In the long jump, sophomore
Luke Nguyen (Houston, Texas Carl Wunsche Sr.) was eighth (21-11 ½) with sophomore
Connor Johnson (Kingsley, Mich. Kingsley) 21
st (20-2 ½).
Senior Nicholas Henz (Oswego, Il./Oswego East HS) was 35
th in the 800 meter run (2:01.69).
At the North Central College First Chance Invitational in Naperville, Illinois, Calvin had a good contingent of mid-distance runners compete.
Freshman AbeVanDuinen (Pentwater, Mich./Pentwater HS) had a busy day, placing 4
th in the 1500 meters (4:00.89) and fourth in the 800 meters (1:56.72).
Senior
Caleb Schillinger (North Liberty, Iowa Liberty) also pulled off the difficult double, placing 10
th in the 1500 meters (4:06.32) and 17
th in the 800 meters (1:59.98).
Freshman
Jack DeKruyter (Holland, Mich. Zeeland West) was 41
st in the 1500 meters (4:18.84) and freshman
Justin Vos (Whitinsville, Mass. Whitinsville Christian) 53
rd (4:24.93).
Sophomore
Ezekial Hardy (Charlotte, Mich. Capital Homeschool) was 53
rd in 800 meters (2:11.02).
