HOLLAND, Mich. - Hope handed Calvin a 5-2 defeat Saturday night at Griff's IceHouse West. The contest came one night after Calvin had defeated Hope 4-1 in Grand Rapids. This weekend marked the first meeting between the two schools at the ACHA D1 level.
Hope grabbed a 2-0 lead after one period of play and then scored on a power-play goal early in the second to build a 3-0 lead.

Krzysztof Petryla. Steven Ickes assisted on both Calvin goals with
Tony Eaton also drawing an assist on the goal by Petryla.
Hope put the game away with a pair of power play goals – the first of which came with 28 seconds left in the second period and the second of which came 7:31 into the third period.
Calvin was whistled for 18 penalty minutes in the contest.
Calvin outshot Hope 50-36.
Aidan Feddema came up with 31 saves for Hope.
Calvin returns to play on Thursday when it travel to Purdue University Northwest in Hammond, Indiana.
