Calvin University senior Sophie Bull was named MIAA Athlete of the Week for women's cross country on Monday.
 
Bull (Denver, Colo./Denver Christian) won the honor after a strong race at the Joe Piane Invitational at the University of Notre Dame on Friday, October 3.
 
At the 5k race, Bull competed against an NCAA I-heavy field and took fourth place (out of 171 runners) with a time of 17:23, helping Calvin to a 10th-place finish in the team competition.
 
This marks the second time this season and the fourth time in her career that Bull has been named MIAA Women's Cross Country Athlete of the Week.
 
The 24th-ranked Calvin women's cross country team will return to action on October 18 when it competes in the Interregional Invitational hosted by Augustana College.
