Calvin University sophomore Zoe Poe was named MIAA Women's Swimmer of the Week on Monday.
 
Poe (Bridgeville, Pa./South Fayette Twp.) won the honor for her performance on Saturday at the MIAA Invitational at Holland Aquatic Center.
 
At the conference invite, Poe continued her strong performance to start the season by winning both the 1000 Freestyle and the 500 Freestyle.
 
Poe won the 1000 Freestyle in a time of 10:32.9, topping her closest competitor by 30 seconds, and then won the 500 Freestyle with a time of 5:09.1 to win by more than 14 seconds. Her time in the 1000 Freestyle is the third-fastest in NCAA III this season, while her time in the 500 Freestyle also ranks in the top 10.
 
Calvin women's swimming and diving will return to action on Friday, October 31, when it hosts a quad meet against Albion College, Carthage College and Ohio Northern University. The meet will take place over Friday and Saturday.
