Calvin University junior Veronica Skipper was named MIAA Women's Diver of the Week on Monday.
 
Skipper (Chicago, Ill./Northside College Prep) won the honor after her performance off both diving boards in a triangular meet against Grand Valley State University and Saginaw Valley State University on Saturday, October 18, at Venema Aquatic Center.
 
At the meet, Skipper scored 225.4 off the one-meter board and 229.1 on the three-meter board and was just seven points shy of an NCAA Regional cut score in the first official meet of the season.
 
This marks the seventh time in Skipper's career that she earned MIAA Diver of the Week honors.
 
The 19th-ranked Calvin women's swimming and diving team will return to action on Saturday, October 25, when it swims in the MIAA Invite at Holland Aquatic Center at 11:30 AM.
