GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - After two long months of away games the Calvin men's volleyball team returned to Van Noord Arena to take on the Yellowjackets of Baldwin Wallace. Despite being within striking distance in all four sets the Knights ultimately fell to the Yellowjackes by scores of 25-20, 21-25, 25-18, 25-21
Calvin (4-16, 1-3 MCVL) hit .143 on the night with its best performance coming in the third set when the Knights hit .167.
Freshman Brady Gudauskas (Naperville, Ill./Neuqua Valley) led the Calvin attack with thirteen kills while junior Gabriel Laughlin (Grand Rapids, Mich./West Michigan Aviation Academy) was close behind with nine kills.
Defensively, freshman Nick Bultje (Byron Center, Mich./South Christian) and senior Ethan Wilstermann (Grand Rapids, Mich./Grand Rapids Christian) each had four blocks while sophomore Parker Steel led the team with thirteen digs.
Freshman setter Cameron Dogger (Holland, Mich./Zion Christian) had 26 assists and two digs.
UP NEXT: The Knights will be back in action tomorrow in Van Noord Arena when they take on Mount Union at 1 p.m.
