GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.- Today the Calvin women's lacrosse team traveled to Adrian to compete in its final regular season matchup and walked away with a commanding 15-5 victory.

With the win the Knights move to a 9-6 overall while also improving to 5-2 in MIAA conference play.

The Knights used a strong first quarter to propel them to a win as senior
Megan Gilbert (Lansing, Mich./Holt) scored just 8 seconds into the game. Two minutes later
Audrey Booher (Fishers, Ind./Heritage Christian) found the back of the net while
Jacey Smith followed suit with a goal of her own shortly after. With another goal by Gilbert and another by
Meghan Chang the Knights finished up the first quarter with a 5-0 lead.

The Knights continued to dominate in the second quarter as they added on 6 more goals to give themselves an 11-1 lead at the half. Calvin outshot Adrian 27-3 through two periods of play and picked up 13 out of 14 draw controls.

Just thirty seconds into the second half Booher scored for the Knights to extend their already commanding lead. Adrian attempted to fight back with four consecutive goals of their own but a goal by
Mekaelah McClymont (Camp Hill, Pa./Covenant Christian Academy) with two minutes left in the period gave the control back to the Knights.

In the fourth quarter, both teams battled for possession and were quiet for much of the period. With three minutes remaining in regulation Gilbert broke the silence with another goal. The Knights rounded out the scoring a minute later when
Morgan Bethard (DeWitt, Mich./DeWitt) scored of an assisted form Booher to give the Knights the 15-5 victory.

Calvin outshot the Bulldogs 39-10 and dominated on draw controls as they were credited with 23 compared to Adrian's 3.

Booher finished with four goals, one assist, and three forced turnovers while Gilbert had three goals, fourteen draw controls, and seven ground balls.

Lainey Aldridge (Grosse Pointe Woods, Mich./Groose Point North) forced six turnovers and McClymont finished with three goals and five groundballs.
