ORLANDO, Fla. - Calvin closed out its spring trip to Florida with a 6-3 loss to Covenant College (Ga.) Saturday afternoon.
The Knights are 6-2 on the season.
Calvin took two of the three doubles points but Covenant took five of the six doubles points, winning four singles matches in super tiebreakers.
Freshmen
Corwin Kim (Livonia, Mich./Stevenson HS) and
Tanner Warners (Grand Rapids, Mich./Grand Rapids Christian HS) combined for an 8-4 win at No. 1 doubles.
Sophomore
Stuart Johnston (Grand Blanc, Mich./Grand Blanc HS) and freshman
Ryan Broek (Hudsonville, Mich./Unity Christian HS) were 8-6 winners at No. 2 doubles.
Broek was Calvin's lone winner in singles, defeating Graham Hayes 6-2, 6-4 at No 6 singles.

John Ross. "We are looking forward to an exciting spring. This team has great potential and is a lot of fun to coach."
NEXT UP: Calvin will travel to Bethel College (Ind.) on March 18 for an 11 a.m. match.
