The Knights' number-two team of Stuart Johnston (Grand Blanc, Mich./Grand Blanc) and Ryan Broek (Hudsonville, Mich./Unity Christian) took home the lone doubles point with an 8-5 win, while Spring Arbor won the other matches 8-4 and 8-5.

In singles, Tanner Warners (Grand Rapids, Mich./Grand Rapids Christian) won his number-six match 6-3 and 6-1, but the Knights lost the next two singles contests and trailed 4-2 with three matches to play.

Needing a strong finish, Emmanuel Henao Estrada (Medellin, Columbia/Escuela Normal Superior "La Merced" lost his opening set in a tiebreaker, but came back to win the next two to win (7-6, 6-4, 1-0).

COACH'S COMMENT: "Excellent, high caliber match," Calvin tennis coach John Ross said. "We were clutch in a lot of tiebreakers to come back and win. Corwin was down 8-6 in his match and came back to seal the win for us. Really proud of our team, and we look forward to getting back to MIAA play on Monday against Olivet."

NEXT UP: Calvin men's tennis will return to action on Monday, April 3, when it hosts Olivet in a match scheduled to start at 4:00 PM.
