The Calvin men's basketball team has moved up to its highest position in the D3hoops.com Top 25 rankings in nearly 20 years. The Knights are ranked second in the D3hoops.com Top 25 poll released Monday evening, up three spots from a week ago.

The ranking is Calvin's highest since the final 2004-05 (3-21-05) D3hoops.com Top 25 poll when the Knights held the number-two ranking in the country. Calvin received five of a possible 25 first place votes in the latest poll with John Carroll (13 first place votes) holding the top spot, Guilford the third spot (six first place votes) and Oswego State in the fourth spot (one first place vote). 

Under the direction of head coach Bill Sall, the Knights are currently 6-0 on the year. 

Calvin is coming off an 84-71 victory over Wisconsin-La Crosse this past Saturday. The Knights are scheduled to host non-conference rival Wheaton College (Il.) on Saturday at noon (EST) at Van Noord Arena.
