LAKE FOREST, Ill. - The Calvin University women's basketball team defeated Macalester College 80-48 on Saturday to win the Forester Tip-Off Tournament hosted by Lake Forest College.

Calvin finished the game shooting 52.5 percent from the field and outscored the Scots 46-10 in the paint, 11-2 in second-chance points, and 20-4 in fast break points.

COACH'S COMMENT: "Really good win for us against an upstart Macalester squad," head coach Mark Christner said. "Our ability to create separation through our defense and some interchangeable parts might be the hallmark of this group. We'll get back to work and get ready for another weekend playing quality teams."

NEXT UP: Calvin women's basketball returns to action on Friday, November 17, when it starts a weekend tournament at DePauw in a game scheduled to tip off at 6:00 PM (CST).
