ADRIAN, Mich - Calvin men's lacrosse dropped a conference contest on the road at Adrian with a final score of 10-8 on Saturday afternoon. 

The Knights began the game by outscoring Adrian in the first quarter 2-1 with goals by seniors Nick Dueweke (Clarkston, MI / Notre Dame Prep) and Drew Stoneburner (Wheaton, IL / Wheaton North). 

The Bulldogs battled back into the game by shutting out the Knights in the second quarter and putting away four goals to take a 5-2 lead into the half. Both teams scored two goals in the third quarter as Adrian took a 7-4 lead into the fourth quarter. Dueweke scored two goals in the third to bring his total to three on the day. 

Calvin continued to gain momentum in its favor as it rattled off four goals to come back and take an 8-7 lead over Adrian. 

Stoneburner scored his second of the day while freshman Josh Moyer (Laurys Station, PA / Allentown Central Catholic) scored two goals. Senior Jake Boender (Grand Rapids, MI / Grand Rapids Christian) added another goal to cap off the 4-0 run by the Knights. 

The Knights led 8-7 with 4:48 left in the game, but Adrian had an answer for Calvin. The Bulldogs quickly put away three goals and held off the Knights' attack to hold on to win 10-8. 

Calvin falls to 6-8 overall on the season and 0-3 in MIAA play. 

Dueweke ended the afternoon with three goals while Moyer and Stoneburner each finished with two goals. Senior Evan Griffin (Howell, MI / Hartland High School) had 12 saves in the net for the Knights.
