KALAMAZOO, Mich. – Calvin improved to 2-1 on the season with a pair of dual meet victories at Kalamazoo College. The Knights defeated host Kalamazoo 174-68 and Olivet 202-33.
Calvin took first place in both relay events.
The Knights opened by winning the 200 medley relay in a time of 1:33.48. The relay consisted of junior
Corey Campbell (Grand Rapids, Mich./Grand Rapids Christian HS), freshman
Caleb Gemmen (Mentor, Oh./Home School), junior
Forrest Peterson (Middleton, Wisc./Middleton HS) and senior
Noah Holstege (Keswick, Va./Covenant HS).

Jacob Heeres (Zeeland, Mich./Holland Christian HS), sophomore
Joshua Seidelman (Northville, Mich./Northville HS), senior Ben Phippen (Macomb, Il./Calvary Baptist HS) and Campbell clocked in with a winning time of 3:12.61.
Seidelman was a winner in the 1,000 freestyle with a time of 10:13.21. Heeres was a double-winner, claiming wins in the 200 freestyle (1:44.46) and 100 freestyle (46.29).
Sophomore Vlad Molin (Rolling Meadows, Il./Rolling Meadows HS) took the 50 freestyle in a time of 21.78.
Peterson won the 100 butterfly in 51.44. Holstege was the 100 bacsktroke winner in a time of 51.95.
Gemmen took the 100 breaststroke in a time of 1:00.40 while sophomore
Wilson Goodpaster (Hamilton, Mich./Hamilton HS) took the win on the three-meter board with a season-best score of 291.44.
NEXT UP: Calvin will host Wheaton in a non-conference meet on Saturday at 1 p.m. inside the Venema Aquatic Center.
