"We started off slow but we finished strong," said first-year Calvin men's lacrosse coach Kyle Hofstaedter. "We hustled and never gave up. I couldn't be prouder of my guys, particularly with some of the injuries that we had to fight through at the end of the year."
Saturday's game marked the final collegiate contests for Calvin seniors Jonathon VanderLaan and Luke Bosscher. "As a first-year coach I could not have done this without my two seniors," said Hofstaedter. "They were tremendous leaders. This program will continue to improve and as it grows, we'll look back on guys like Jonathon and Luke and thank them for the foundation they helped build."
