Taylor Roede

  • Named as Calvin women's volleyball assistant coach before the start of the 2025 season
  • Played volleyball at Wayne State University from 2018-21
  • Four-year starting outside hitter at WSU and was named a three-time All-GLIAC honoree
  • Finished her career with 937 kills, 903 digs and 150 blocks
  • Helped WSU to its first NCAA II Tournament appearance since 1994
  • Four-time GLIAC All-Academic Excellence Team member and two-time Deans' Award recipient from the College of Nursing for having the highest cumulative grade-point average among all student-athletes in that particular college
  • Graduated with a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing in 2022
  • Served as an NCAA SAAC President for three years
  • Helped lead the WSU Fellowship of Christian Athletes bible study on campus for three years
  • Works as a school nurse as well as her work with Calvin volleyball
  • Married to Nate Roede, who serves as an assistant coach for Calvin's baseball program
