CALVIN ASSISTANT COACH

A graduate of Jenison High School and a 2009 graduate of Central Michigan University, Coach Dan Taylor was selected in ’09 in the 21st round of the MLB draft by the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Dan spent 4 years in the minor leagues as a pitcher at various levels. As a four-year letter winner, and starting pitcher at CMU, Dan collected two All-MAC selections and team MVP and Captain awards. Upon leaving CMU Dan put two academic All-MAC selections under his belt in addition to his Bachelor of Science degree.

Dan now resides in Grandville with his wife, 2 daughters, son, & dog.

Dan has coached various travel baseball teams and varsity baseball teams leading up to joining the Knights coaching staff. Most importantly though is Dan’s dedication to the people he works with and the passion he brings every day to serve God and all of the blessings he has brought upon us
