Calvin Teams Crack Top 10 For Attendance in 2025-26- Women's Soccer Leads the Nation

Fans of Calvin athletics again flocked to campus to support the Knights during the recently completed 2025-26 academic year.

Five of its varsity teams have finished in the top 10 in the final NCAA III attendance figures for their respective sports.

Leading the way is the Calvin women's soccer team which led NCAA III in attendance for the 2025 campaign in both total attendance and average attendance per game. Coach Emily Ottenhoff's Knights saw 6,691 fans come to Calvin Soccer Stadium over 12 home contests for an average of 558 fans per game. Messiah was second in total attendance (6,458) and fans per game (461). Calvin's attendance figures were aided by two home games against rival Hope with 983 fans attending an October 14 regular season match and 903 arriving for the MIAA Tournament Championship game on November 8. Calvin then drew 862 fans for a November 15 NCAA III Tournament match against Illinois Institute of Technology.

The Calvin men's soccer team finished third in total attendance and fans per game. Coach Ryan Souders' Knights brought in 5,924 fans over 11 home games to Calvin Soccer Stadium for an average of 539 fans per game. Occidental led the nation with a total attendance figure of 7,939 and an average of 722 fans per game.

Calvin men's basketball, led by head coach Bill Sall finished third in the final NCAA III attendance figures (both total attendance and per-game average). The Knights brought in 16,715 fans over 13 home dates for an average of 1,286 fans per game. The Knights were buoyed by 4,532 fans that attended its home game with rival Hope on February 21 at Van Noord Arena.

Calvin men's volleyball, led by head coach Aaron Sagraves finished fourth in the final NCAA III attendance figures with 3,682 fans attending matches in either Van Noord Arena or Hoogenboom Gymnasium. The figure was spread out over 12 home contests for an average of 307 fans per match. Carthage led the nation in total attendance (8,200) and fans per match (513).

Calvin women's volleyball, led by head coach Amber Warners finished 10th in both total attendance and fans per game, drawing 4,651 fans over 10 home matches in Van Noord Arena for an average of 465 fans per match.
