AVCA D3 TOP 25 POLL - 11-3-26

The Calvin University women's volleyball team fell two spots to number-13 in this week's American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA)-Taraflex top 25 poll.

The Knights were ranked 11th in last week's poll and recorded a 3-1 record last weekend with wins over The University of Olivet, William Smith College and Case Western Reserve University.

Led by head coach Dr. Amber Warners, Calvin is currently 21-3 overall and 6-0 in the MIAA standings.

The Knights are also ranked 15th in the Division III National Power Index (NPI) ratings.  The NPI rankings use a metric algorithm based on wins and losses as well as the records of opponents played during the season. It is used for seeding purposes for the 64-team NCAA III Tournament as well as to determine the 21 teams that receive at-large bids to the NCAA III Tournament.

Calvin returns to action on Wednesday, November 4, when it hosts Alma College at Van Noord Arena in a match scheduled to start at 6:30 PM.
