Calvin University men's basketball junior Jalen Overway was named to the D3hoops.com Team of the Week on Monday.
 
Overway (Holland, Mich./Holland Christian) earned the honor after a stellar week in which he averaged 28.5 points, 11.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 2.0 blocks per game while shooting 81.0 percent from the field to help the Knights to wins at Kalamazoo College (81-47) and against Albion College (80-77).
 
Overway finished a perfect 10-10 from the field on the way to 25 points in the Knights' win at Kalamazoo on January 14 and followed that up with 32 points in a three-point win over Albion on January 17, with 23 of those 32 points coming in the second half.
 
This season, Overway is averaging career-bests in points (23.2) and rebounds (11.9) per game while shooting a career-high 64.0 percent from the field. He ranks 17th in NCAA III in scoring average and 12th in rebounds per game, while also ranking fourth nationally with 11 double-doubles in 15 games.
 
Overway's performance has helped the 15th-ranked Knights to a 12-3 record to go with a 4-0 start to the MIAA season.
 
This marks the third time in Overway's career that he has been named to the D3hoops.com Team of the Week.
