Caiden Bolduc was named MIAA Football Defensive Player of the Week on Monday.

Bolduc (Muskegon, Mich./Reeths-Puffer) earned the honor for his performance in the Knights' 40-37 overtime win at Heidelberg University on Saturday.

In the overtime win, Bolduc recorded 11 total tackles, including 4.0 tackles for loss and 2.0 sacks while also forcing a fumble and recording two pass breakups.

This season, Bolduc leads Calvin with 4.0 sacks and ranks second on the team with 20 tackles and 6.5 tackles for loss.

Bolduc is the first Calvin player to earn MIAA Defensive Player of the Week honors in program history.

Calvin football will return to action on Saturday, September 27, when the 3-0 Knights face 3-0 Kalamazoo College in the MIAA opener at 7:00 PM to cap off Homecoming Saturday. Saturday's game against Kalamazoo is presented by The DeNooyer Automative Family.Â
