The Calvin men's soccer game against Grove City College was canceled due to thunderstorms that swept through Grand Rapids Saturday night. The Knights led the Wolverines 1-0 but with just over 33 minutes left in regulation, the match was halted by lightning. After a lengthy weather delay, the decision to discontinue the match was made, canceling the contest and wiping out any results or statistics a NCAA rules stipulate that an official game must have a minimum of 70 completed minutes. Saturday's game against Grove City was in its 57
th minute when the contest was halted.
Calvin returns to action next Wednesday when it hosts Alma at 7 p.m. at Calvin Soccer Stadium.
