COACH'S COMMENT: "Our guys had a solid start today, yet we are not holding too tightly to this first meet," Calvin head cross country coach
Nicole Kramer said. "We saw some new packs forming and plenty of younger guys in the mix get off to a hot start. I am really happy with how our preseason went and know we gained important experience on the conference course. That was goal #1 today.
Vaughn Meyer had an impressive race, as did freshmen
Jonathan Swartz,
Caden Guffey and
Jonas Church. Now the team will look forward to getting more into the groove of 8k training as classes only just begin this week. It's going to be fun seeing this team progress throughout the fall."
NEXT UP: Calvin men's cross country will return to action on Saturday, September 13, when it hosts the Diemer Classic at Gainey Athletic Complex at 10:15 AM.
