The United States Track and Field Cross Country Coaches Association has named its 2024 All-Academic team and individual recipients in men's cross country and the Calvin men's cross country team has received accolades on both counts.

Led by head coach Nicole Kramer, the Calvin men's team posted a team cumulative grade point average this past fall of 3.538 after posting a 3.449 GPA the year before. In order to receive the award, teams must post a minimum team GPA of 3.10 on a 4.0 scale.

Individually, Calvin had two individuals receive USTFCCCA All-Academic honors. Those four individuals are seniors  Luke Witvliet (Grandville, Mich./Calvin Christian HS) and Caleb Gaffner (Hudsonville, Mich../Unity Christian HS).

Witvliet is majoring in biochemistry while Gaffner is majoring in mechanical engineering.

Individuals needed to have compiled a cumulative grade point average of 3.30 or greater on a 4.0 scale through the most-recent semester and placed in the top 25 percent at their respective NCAA III Regional Championships.

Both of Calvin's individuals that received USTFCCCA All-Academic honors competed at the NCAA III Championships. The Knights took 32nd at the NCAA III Championships, earning a spot at the national meet for the 31st consecutive year.
