OLIVET, Mich. - Today the Calvin women's basketball team closed out the 2025 regular season in dominant fashion as they picked up the 78-51 victory over the Comets of Olivet.

Valerie Dirkse (Vienna, Va./Marshall) wasted no time establishing their presence down low while
Chloe Wiegers (Lake Orion, Mich./Lake Orion) displayed her ability to drive to the basket.Â

Freshman
Gabby Halliwill (Charlotte, Mich./Lansing Catholic) added some points from beyond the arc while sophomore Anna Fernadez (Plymouth, Mich./Plymouth Christian Academy) settled in by converting several mid-range jumpers.
Â
In the second quarter, despite the Comets offense coming alive the Knights continued to carry the momentum as sophomore
Katelyn LaRue (Grand Rapids, Mich./Grand Rapids Christian) and senior
Sophie Sensenig (Grayslake, Ill./Westlake) came alive and got in on the scoring action. By the end of the quarter Calvin headed into halftime with a comfortable lead of 47-29.
Â
While the second half scoring was much quieter for both teams the Knights never lost their momentum or lead as they went on to pick up the 78-51 win.Â
