Calvin University sophomore
Zoe Poe was named MIAA Women's Swimmer of the Week on Monday.
Poe (Bridgeville, Pa./South Fayette Twp.) won the honor after a strong performance at the Calvin Winter Invite at Venema Aquatic Center that took place from December 4-6.
At the three-day meet, Poe broke the Calvin records in both the 1650 freestyle and the 400 IM. Her time of 17:04 in the 1650 freestyle ranks third in NCAA III this season, while she finished with a time of 4:32 in the 400 IM. She also recorded an NCAA 'B' cut time in the 500 freestyle at 4:59.19.
This marks the second time this season Poe has been named MIAA Swimmer of the Week.
Calvin swimming and diving will return to action on Friday, January 9, when it hosts Wayne State University at Venema Aquatic Center.
