Hannah Sall was named MIAA Player of the Week for women's basketball on Monday.
Sall (Grand Rapids, Mich./Grand Rapids Christian) won the honor after helping the Knights to a 66-50 win over Albion College on Friday, December 12, at Van Noord Arena.
In the win over he Britons, Sall scored 15 points and grabbed 11 rebounds on the way to her second double-double of the season. She also blocked three shots and added three assists while anchoring a defensive effort that held the Britons to 36.4 percent shooting for the game.
This season, Sall is averaging 10.1 points and 7.2 rebounds per game while blocking a team-best 21 shots. Her 21 blocks on the season also rank 18th in NCAA III.
This marks the second time this season and third time Sall's career that she has won MIAA Women's Basketball Player of the Week.
Calvin women's basketball is 5-4 this season and 2-0 in MIAA play. The Knights will return to action on Monday, December 29, when they play Tufts University at Bowdoin College at 4:00 PM.
