Jalen Overway was named a Preseason All-American by D3hoops.com on Thursday.
Overway (Holland, Mich./Holland Christian) was voted a First Team Preseason All-American by the website after missing last season due to injury.
In his first two seasons, Overway earned a number of national awards, including All-America honors from D3hoops.com following his sophomore season in 2023-24 in which he averaged 19.7 points and 10.4 rebounds per game while leading the Knights to an Elite Eight appearances and the number-six ranking in the country.
For his career, Overway has already reached the 1,000 point milestone in only two seasons with 1,092 career points while shooting 54.5 percent from the field. He has also averaged 10.2 rebounds for his career on the way to winning MIAA Most Valuable Player and First Team All-Region honors from multiple outlets in both seasons.
Calvin enters the 2025-26 season ranked 12th in the nation in the D3hoops.com Preseason Top 25 Poll coming off the program's third consecutive MIAA regular season championship and its second consecutive trip to the NCAA III Tournament.
The Knights will open the 2025-26 season on November 7 when it plays at Denison University, followed the next day with a game at Ohio Wesleyan University.
