GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - Today the Calvin University men's tennis team took on the Lakers from Roosevelt University where they ultimately fell 3-4.

The Knights came out strong in doubles as the number-two team consisting of freshman duo Mario Neto (Boa Vista, Brazil/Reino) and
Caleb Bartels (Belton, Mo./Kansas City Christian) won their match 6-3.
Felipe Sartori (Estr. Basileia/Colegio Giusto Zonzini) and
Ryan Broek (Hudsonville, Mich./Unity Christian) locked up number-one doubles with a score of 7-6 to secure a point for the Knights before the Lakers took the number-three match.

In singles play, the Lakers made up ground as they won four of the six matches. Number-two Bartels (6-3, 6-0) and number-three Nato (4-6, 6-4, 10-4) were the only two Knights to win their matches as the Knights took the 3-4 defeat.

UP NEXT: The Knights will wrap up their fall season on September 28th when they take part in an Alumni Match that is set to begin at 9:00 AM.
