ALBION, Mich. – The Calvin University men's tennis team remains unbeaten in conference play following a 9-0 win at Albion College on Wednesday.
Calvin (13-2, 5-0 MIAA) opened the match by sweeping the three doubles contest to take an early 3-0 lead over Albion (4-11, 1-5 MIAA).
The number-one team of
Maurquis Willingham (Indianapolis, Ind./North Central) and
Corwin Kim (Livonia, Mich./Stevenson) won 8-5, as did the number-three team of
Emmanuel Henao (Medellin, Columbia/Escuela Normal Superior "La Merced") and
Adam Zentner (Clarkston, Mich./Clarkston). The number-two team of
Felipe Sartori (Cotia, Brazil/Colegio Giusto Zonzini) and
Harrison Sindelar (Westfield, Ind./Westfield) won their match 8-4.
The Knights closed the match with a sweep in all six singles contests in straight sets.
Willingham (6-0, 6-0), Sartori (6-0, 6-1), Kim (6-2, 6-1), Sindelar (6-3, 6-1), Henao (6-4, 6-1) and
Noah Yi (Fullerton, Calif./Valencia) (6-1, 6-1) scored the six wins for Calvin.

NEXT UP: Calvin men's tennis will return to action on Saturday, April 20, when it hosts Trine University in a match scheduled to start at 12:30 PM. The match was originally scheduled for 11:00 AM, but was bumped back by 90 minutes to allow for warmer outdoor temperatures.
