2024 MIAA WOMEN'S BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT BRACKET
The MIAA Tournament pairings for women's basketball are set and the Calvin women's basketball team has earned the No. 2 seed for the tournament along with a first round bye.
Calvin (18-7) will play in an MIAA Tournament semifinal game Friday at 5:30 p.m. at DeVos Fieldhouse on the campus of Hope College. The Knights will play the winner of a first round game scheduled for Wednesday night between Olivet (9-16) and Trine (18-7).
Hope (23-2) is the top seed for the tournament and will host the semifinals and championship game. Hope will face the winner of a first round Wednesday night game between Alma (13-12) and Albion (17-8). The second semifinal game on Friday between Hope and the Alma/Albion winner is set for 7:30 p.m. at DeVos Fieldhouse.
The Friday semifinal winners will play in the MIAA Tournament Championship final Saturday at DeVos Fieldhouse at 7:30 p.m. with the winner receiving the league's automatic bid to the upcoming NCAA III Tournament.
Calvin was picked to finish in a tie for fourth place in the 2023-24 MIAA preseason coaches' poll. Under the direction of head coach
Mark Christner, the Knights finished in a tie for second place with Trine and earned the No. 2 seed for the league tournament on a tiebreaker edge based on a superior second half record than Trine over the second half of the MIAA's double round robin schedule.
The Knights are 40-24 all-time in MIAA Tournament play and have won seven MIAA Tournament titles.
