CHICAGO, Il. – Two members of the Calvin men's diving group competed on day one of the NCAA III Diving Regional at the University of Chicago. The regional competition is held to determine participants in the NCAA III Championships in mid-March in Greensboro, North Carolina.

Sophomores Wilson Goodpaster (Hamilton, Mich./Hamilton HS) and Jason Perez (Plainwell, Mich./Plainwell HS) both competed on the one-meter board on Saturday. Goodpaster took 25^th with an 11-dive score of 363.60 while Perez was 30^th with a score of 340.60.

Both divers are competing at the regional meet for the first time. They are set to compete on the three-meter board on Saturday.
