GRAND RAPIDS - The ninth-ranked Calvin University women's volleyball team closed the regular season with a 3-0 sweep of Kalamazoo College by the scores of 25-13, 25-13 and 25-10.

On senior night,
Aubrey Wrubel (Jenison, Mich./Jenison) and
Gabriella Kellogg (Belleville, Mich./Plymouth Christian Academy) made the most of their final home regular season appearances at Van Noord Arena.Â
Wrubel finished with eight digs and six assist from her libero position, while Kellogg recorded six kills from the front row.Â
Calvin held the Kalamazoo (6-17, 1-7 MIAA) attack to a -.012 attack efficiency overall.
COACH'S COMMENT: "I think the biggest thing for us is we just need to relax and play," Calvin head coach Dr.
Amber Warners said. "Sometimes we're overthinking and focusing too much on the little things instead of just being competitive and playing.
"Both of them (Wrubel and Kellogg) have come so far in who they are as people both on and off the court," Warners added about her two seniors. "They have given so much time and energy into their teammates and this program. I'm very grateful for that. They are two incredibly solid young women who have a really bright future. It's been a huge privilege to be a part of that the last four and five years."
NEXT UP: Calvin women's volleyball returns to action on Tuesday, November 7, when it hosts sixth-seeded Olivet in a quarterfinal match in the MIAA Tournament.Â
