Calvin also finished with each of the top three in the 200 individual medley, with Bajwa (1:56.26) winning the event followed by Ziegler and Logan Yakubowski (Hazleton, Pa./Hazleton Area), as well as the 100 breaststroke, which was won by Hays (58.71) with Anthony Crudele (Aurora, Ill./Homeschol) and Bajwa finishing behind him.

Ryan Halberg (Novi, Mich./Northville) won the 1000 freestyle in a time of 10:02.28, while Campbell and Jazz Widney (Wellsville, N.Y./Jenks) took second and third, respectively, in the 50 freestyle. Henry Phippen (Macomb, Ill./Calvary Baptist) took second in the 500 freestyle, followed by Nathan Kaestner (Stilwell, Kan./Blue Valley Southwest) in third.

In the diving events, three Calvin divers were the only competitors, with Will Goodpaster (Hamilton, Ohio/Hamilton) winning both the three-meter (292.88) and one-meter (286.27). Edwin Burdalic (Wyoming, Mich./Grandville) and Jason Perez (Kalamazoo, Mich./Plainwell) took second and third, respectively, on each board.

COACH'S COMMENT: "We wanted to carry the theme from last week of using the setting and low stress situations to be aggressive and kind of figure some things out," Calvin head coach Dan Gelderloos said. "It was a middle of the pack kind of meet for our depth so we tried to make sure the people who are lucky enough to be in the top tier and race in the limelight could clear the way for them to get some big races in. I think we did a pretty good job of that and kept the integrity of the meet and came away with some good work.
"Next week is a big meet for us. That's always kind of a 'starred' meet for us to gauge where we are at this point in the season before we put the finishing touches on what we can do at the December invite."

NEXT UP: Calvin swimming and diving returns to action Friday, November 3, when it hosts Albion, Carthage and Ohio Northern in a quad meet at Venema Aquatic Center.
