GRAND RAPIDS - The Calvin women's tennis team swept its final official match of September 9-0 against Concordia University Michigan on Friday.
The Knights dominated from start to finish, winning the three doubles matches by the scores of 8-2, 8-1 and 8-1 to take a 3-0 overall lead.
In singles,
Emily Schellenboom (Grand Rapids, Mich./Grand Rapids Christian),
Maggie Shoemaker (Holland, Mich./Holland Christian),
Tessa Holman (Washington, Mich./Romeo),
Elise Norman (Battle Creek, Mich./Lakeview),
Alexis Ganop (Riverview, Mich./Riverview Community) and
Marissa Baker (Holland, MIch./Holland Christian) each won their matches in straight sets to preserve the 9-0 sweep.
The Knights improved to 2-1 as a team on the season with the win, while the Cardinals fell to 1-3 in defeat.
