The Calvin men's swimming and diving team improved to 3-1 on the season with a 208-83 dual meet victory over Wheaton on Saturday.
Calvin took first place in a plethora of events.
Calvin's 200 medley relay team of senior Noah Holstege (Keswick, Va./Covenant School), freshman Caleb Gemmen (Mentor, Oh./Home School), junior Forrest Peterson (Middleton, Wisc./Middleton HS) and senior Jacob Heeres (Zeeland, Mich./Holland Christian HS) took first place in a time of 1:31.80.
Senior Samuel Hoover (Beverly Hills, Mich./Fraser HS) won the 1,000 freestyle in a time of 10:16.68.
Heeres was a double-winner individually, claiming wins in the 200 freestyle (1:44.18) and 100 freestyle (45.77).
Sophomore Wilson Goodpaster (Hamilton, Mich./Hamilton HS) was a double-winner, taking home wins on the one-meter (299.17) and three-meter (251.93) diving boards.
Junior Corey Campbell (Grand Rapids, Mich./Grand Rapids Christian HS) took first place in the 100 backstroke (53.00) while Gemmen claimed a win in the 100 breaststroke (59.44).
Freshman Jacob Ziegler (Toledo, Oh./St. John's Jesuit) won the 200 butterfly (2:04.25) while junior Vladimir Molin (Rolling Meadows, Il./Rolling Meadows HS) was the 50 freestyle winner in a time of 21.34.
Senior Will Toomey (Runnels, Ia./Southeast Polk HS) took the win in the 200 backstroke with a time of 1:59.41.
Sophomore Joshua Seidelman (Northville, Mich./Northville HS) took first in the 500 freestyle (4:58.45). Peterson won the 100 butterfly (51.09). Freshman Ryan Myer (Portage, Mich./Portage Central HS) took the win in the 200 IM (2:00.84).
In the 400 freestyle relay, Calvin's quartet of Heeres, sophomore Jack Kulaga (Downer's Grove, Il./Downer's Grove South HS), freshman Henry Phippen (Macomb, Il./Phippen Academy) and Seidelman took the win in a time of 3:11.47.
