The Calvin women's swimming and diving team split a pair of meets against Division II competition Friday night inside the Venema Aquatic Center.
Ranked 24th in Division III, Calvin fell to Grand Valley State, ranked 18th in Division II, by a score of 192-50.
The Knights did defeat Division II Hillsdale 131.5-101.5 however to even their ledger on the season.
Calvin's 200 medley relay team of Isabella Gable Haley Thier, Maggie Farrell and Sydney Sonday took second in a time of 1:48.47.
Gable then took fourth in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:59.62.
Farrell placed third in the 100 butterfly (58.12) while Claire Sytsma took fifth in the 100 backstroke (1:01.27).
Thier came up with a second place swim in the 100 breaststroke (1:09.38).
Calvin's 200 freestyle relay team of Farrell, Sydney Sonday, Kristin Winkle and Gable took second in 1:39.51.
On the diving board, Kial Heminghous had Calvin's best score, taking fourth (158.92). She also placed sixth on the one-meter board (160.43).
