ANGOLA, Ind. - Calvin traveled to Trine and fell by a final score of 69-35 Wednesday evening at the MTI Center.

Calvin (0-2) trailed 12-8 after one quarter of play but the host Thunder outscored the Knights 20-3 in the second quarter of play to take control of the game.

Trine (4-0) limited Calvin to 21.7 percent field goal shooting. Conversely, Trine shot 47.3 percent from the field overall and 52.6 percent (10 of 19) from three-point range.

The Knights were led in scoring by junior Gabby Timmer (Caledonia, Mich./South Christian HS) who dropped in eight points to go with seven rebounds. Senior Caitlyn Demaree (St. Louis, Mo./Principia HS) had six points off the bench while sophomore Sara Nealy (Highlands Ranch, Co./Valor Christian HS) also snared seven boards. Junior Baylee GalanBrowne (Evergreen, Co./Evergreen HS) collected four steals.

Calvin returns to action on Saturday, traveling to Hope for a 3:00 p.m. rivalry contest at DeVos Fieldhouse.
