Calvin stretched its win streak to five with a 30-12, 30-23, 30-26 win over 
visiting St. Mary's (IN) Tuesday night at the Calvin Fieldhouse. The Knights 
are now 11-4 overall and 5-1 in the MIAA. 

Senior Melissa Pell (Fremont) led Calvin with 14 kills and five blocks while 
senior Cassie Christopher tallied nine kills and five service aces. Seniors 
Sarah Rottman and Laura Tucker of Holland Christian High School also had solid 
efforts with Rottman chalking up four service aces and Tucker 31 assists. 
Junior libero player Trisha Balkema (Highland, IN) led the Calvin back-line 
effort with 19 digs. 

Calvin will now prepare for upcoming Wittenberg Invitational scheduled for 
Friday and Saturday. Calvin will open the tournament on Friday at 2:00 p.m. 
against Mount Union which handed the Knights a 3-1 defeat on September 14. 
Calvin will then meet Case Western Reserve at 4:30 p.m.. On Saturday, Calvin 
will face host Wittenberg at 11:30 a.m. with championship round play slated for 
later Saturday afternoon.
