The tournament has a new name, but the results are still same. Calvin continued its dominance of the Dominos-Radisson Volleyball Invitational (formerly the Hornet Invitational) with a pair of three-game pool play victories over foes Anderson and Millikin. 

The Knights dropped Anderson 30-23, 31-29, 30-28 and bounced Millikin 32-30, 30-14, 30-24. In the game with Anderson Melissa Pell (Fremont) led the way for the Knights as she racked up 15 kills and 6 blocks. Also chipping in was Kara Kuipers (Unity) who added 10 kills and Trisha Balkema (Illiana Christian) with 17 digs. Laura Tucker (Holland Christian) dished out 44 assists. In the afternoon game with Millikin, Pell as came up big as she tallied 17 kills, four service aces, and three blocks. Cassie Christopher (Fruitport) added eight kills and two service aces. Tucker chipped in 47 assists 

Calvin returns to action tomorrow (Saturday) morning to complete pool play against Manchester. A Knight win will propel them to the championship game at 4:00 pm against the winner of the pool which includes Kalamazoo, Lawrence, Bluffton, and Denison.
