MILWAUKEE, Wisc. - Calvin dropped a 64-50 decision at Wisconsin Lutheran Saturday afternoon. The game was part of the Wisconsin Lutheran Paul Knueppel Classic.

Calvin (2-2) trailed 32-29 at halftime and 48-42 after three quarters of play but the host Warriors (2-0) outscored Calvin 16-8 in the fourth quarter to pull away for the win.

Wisconsin Lutheran held a 37-31 rebounding advantage and forced Calvin into 15 turnovers.

Calvin was led in scoring by freshman Gabby Timmer (Caledonia, Mich./South Christian HS) who tallied 15 points and was named to the all-tournament team. Senior Rachel Warners (Grand Rapids, Mich./Grand Rapids Christian HS), junior Kara Minderhoud (Grand Rapids, Mich./Covenant Christian HS) and freshman Stephanie Coors (Evergreen, Co./Valor Christian HS) all had nine points apiece.

Jen Dowden led Wisconsin Lutheran with 23 points.

Calvin returns to action on Tuesday when it hosts Carthage College at 7 p.m. inside Van Noord Arena.
