MILWAUKEE, Wis. - Calvin suffered its first loss of the season, falling 75-52 to Wisconsin-Lacrosse Friday evening at the Paul Knueppel Classic hosted by Wisconsin-Lutheran.

Wisconsin-Lacrosse (2-0) outscored Calvin 19-6 in the opening quarter and held control from that point on.

Senior Rachel Warners (Grand Rapids, Mich./Grand Rapids Christian HS) led Calvin in scoring with 12 points while freshman Stephanie Coors (Evergreen, Co./Valor Christian HS) had 10 points. Freshman Gabby Timmer (Caledonia, Mich./South Christian HS) ripped down a game-high 14 rebounds.

Wisconsin-Lacrosse held a 42-37 rebounding advantage. Calvin committed 25 turnovers in the loss.

The Knights return to action on Saturday, facing host Wisconsin-Lutheran at 3 p.m. (CST).
