CHICAGO, Ill. – The Knights split with two top-25 teams on Saturday at the University of Chicago. The Knights defeated No. 22 DePauw 152-138 and fell to No. 10 Chicago, 225-75. Calvin won two events on Saturday.
Sophomore Danielle Sugijanto (Walnut Creek, Calif./Northgate) recorded a third-place finish in the 100-yard backstroke at 1:02.59
Junior Sarah Bradley (Wheaton, Ill./Wheaton North) picked up the first Calvin victory of the day on the 1-meter boards with a score of 280.40. She would also win the 3-meter event at 306.65.
Junior Abby Van Harn (Grand Rapids, Mich./Grand Rapids Christian) finished in second place in the 100-yard freestyle at 54.11.
Sophomore Anna Serino (Pinckney, Mich./Pinckney) touched the wall at 5:17.01 in the 500-yard freestyle to take third place.
The Knights finished the day with a second-place finish in the 200-yard freestyle relay at 1:39.21.
Calvin returns to action on Saturday when the Knights close the dual-match season at Kalamazoo.
