Calvin's coach, Amber Warners, was impressed with the steadiness that her team played with. "We played with a lot of passion, fire and energy last night." (Calvin defeated Albion Friday night 25-15, 25-14, 25-11 at Kresge Gymnasium) "It's hard to carry that high level of energy over to the next day, but I think we played with consistency. We have been working on having a 'short memory' after we make mistakes, and I think we did a good job with that tonight." Coach Warners also credited the team's success mainly to their solid defense and passing.
Calvin is now 17-3 overall and 9-1 in the MIAA while Trine is 13-3 overall and 6-3 in the MIAA. The Knights remain in second place in the league while the Thunder also hold their spot in third place.
