Kalamazoo Defeats Calvin

KALAMAZOO, MI - Calvin edged closer to the end of its regular season with a 2-0 loss to Kalamazoo on Monday afternoon. The game was originally scheduled on Tuesday, October 23 but moved to Monday because of wet playing conditions in Kalamazoo. With the victory Kalamazoo clinches the MIAA outright and propels the Hornets into the NCAA tournament for the second consecutive year. Kalamazoo moves to 15-2 overall (10-0 MIAA) while Calvin drops to 10-6-2 overall (7-4 MIAA).

Kalamazoo received goals from junior Ross Bower and freshman Steve Dendler, while Hornet goalie Nick Carlin-Voigt recorded the shutout.

Calvin returns to action on Wednesday, taking on Alma College at Calvin Field. Kick-off is 3 PM.
