Joe Fox

Joe Fox brings six years of college coaching experience to the women’s program at Calvin. Prior to joining Calvin in the fall of 2017, he spent three seasons working under the leadership of Hall of Fame coach Mike Ingram at Lansing Community College. Fox earned his Bachelor’s Degree in History from the School of Education at Michigan State University in 2012. 

His coaching roots run deep. His father Gary Fox and grandfather George Fox both coached in the Michigan High School basketball ranks for 25 years each. George won a state championship with Magic Johnson at Lansing Everett High School in 1977. 

Joe Fox’s basketball coaching experience includes student-athlete academic support, floor coaching, strength & conditioning development, scouting reports, practice planning, film breakdown, and recruitment of prospective student-athletes. 

Joe Fox and his wife, Meghan, live in Jenison. She earned her Ph.D. from Michigan State University and recently accepted a faculty position in the Athletic Training program within the Department of Movement Science at Grand Valley State University. She played college softball at NCAA Division II Lincoln Memorial University. Joe Fox is currently pursuing his Master’s degree at GVSU.
