Austin Randel

Austin Randel was named Interim Head Coach of the Calvin Women's basketball program on Monday Januray 14th, 2019. Serving as an assistant coach for the 2017-18 season, Randel is in his second season coaching the Knights. During his time as an assistant coach, he helped with game and practice plans, recruiting, breaking down game film and analyzing statistical reports. 

For the past five years, Randel has been the Head Coach of the Michigan Basketball Acdemy High School AAU Teams, as well as being named Master Skills Trainer for Youth Camps. 

An All-State player coming out of McBain High School in 2006 Randel started his college basketball career at NCAA Division II North Greenville University in Greenville, SC. Randel put together two standout campaigns at North Greenville, before finishing his playing career at Ferris State. He remains the 10th all-time leading scorer in North Greenville program history. In his second season at NGU, Randel finished 12th in the nation in scoring. Randel then played two years semi-professionally. 

Randel currently resides in Wyoming, Michigan.
